What really makes you stick with a mobile app long-term?

I've been thinking a lot lately about why I keep certain apps on my phone for years while others just get deleted after a week. It's not always about how useful they are, because sometimes a really practical app just doesn't grab me. What makes you all decide to commit to an app long-term? Is it the design, the notifications, or something else entirely? I find myself just opening some apps almost out of habit, even when I don't necessarily need them.

Oh, I totally get what you mean! It's like some apps just integrate into your daily rhythm without you even realizing it. From my experience, it often comes down to the little things. It’s not about one huge feature, but more about a consistent, pleasant experience. Little nudges, clear layouts, or even just feeling like the app understands what I want to do quickly. I read an interesting perspective on this recently that really resonated with me about how small rewards keep people interested in mobile apps. It highlighted that things like a smooth session or a bonus can make a big difference without being overwhelming. Check it out if you're curious: https://stylishdp.com/why-small-rewards-keep-people-interested-in-mobile-apps/ I think those small, almost subconscious incentives are key to building that long-term habit.
