This is such a brilliant teaching tool! I bought a Linear Abacus for my daughter a few months ago here in NY, and it completely transformed how she understands basic numeration. The fact that she can physically feel the measurement of numbers taking up space makes abstract arithmetic so much more intuitive for her.
